Barcelona Football Club doc Take The Ball, Pass The Ball will launch in Cannes.

The one-off doc about the famous Catalan club is being distributed by Rooftop Content Group, which will be shopping it at MIPTV.

The film follows the club between 2008 and 2012 and includes the players talking about the rivalry with Real Madrid as well as Eric Abidal’s diagnosis, and recovery from, cancer.

The players also explain the team’s unique tactic and open-up on life under then manager Guardiola in the 1x105mins doc, which was produced by Barcelona-based Zoom Sport International.

Amsterdam-based Rooftop’s other big MIPTV launch is The Great Arab Revolt, a three-part drama-doc series out of Jordan from Spica Media.

The 3x48mins series tells the story of the 1916 Revolt, which attempted to create a unified Arab state.

The production and distribution group will also be seeking early stage talks about a kids show from its partner company Blooming Media. Project Prep is a TV adaptation of the Dutch novel for teen girls about a young budding tech entrepreneur.
